# CPU Boost NFTs (Utility)

Welcome to the official guide to **RanchersLand's Utility NFTs**, also known as **CPU Boost NFTs**. These NFTs are designed to empower players, support the WAX network, and ensure the long-term sustainability of the game.

## 📌 What Is CPU on WAX?

WAX uses a **resource staking model**, where each blockchain interaction mining, crafting, claiming, etc. consumes **CPU**, representing processing time.

You can gain CPU in two ways:

* By staking your own WAX
* By receiving CPU delegated from another wallet (**other stake**)

Without enough CPU, your transactions rejected.

## 🔁 What Is “Other Stake”?

**Other stake** means CPU delegated to your wallet by another account. You don’t need to stake your own WAX someone else does it for you.

This is the mechanism behind Boost NFTs:

> The **project wallet stakes CPU on your behalf** and links it to a tradeable NFT that you can hold, gift, or sell.

## 🎁 What Are Boost NFTs?

**Boost NFTs** are utility NFTs representing **250 WAX of CPU power**, delegated directly to the holder’s wallet.

Each NFT:

* 🎯 Stakes CPU immediately on mint
* 🔄 Enters cooldown after transfer
* 🔓 Activates again 3 days later
* 🖼️ Shows visual metadata for status (`active` / `pending`)
* 🔄 Can be traded

> It is your **personal share** of the RanchersLand CPU fund both useful and collectible.

## 🧠 How Does It Work?

1. **On Mint:**
   * CPU is delegated instantly to the minter
   * Metadata is set to `active`
2. **On Transfer:**
   * CPU is undelegated
   * NFT is locked and metadata updates to `pending`
   * A delayed transaction is scheduled to re-stake CPU to the new owner after `3 days`
3. **On Re-Activation:**
   * CPU is delegated to the new wallet
   * Metadata is updated to `active`

Everything is automated via smart contract logic no action needed from the user.

## 🧾 Distribution Details

* A **430,000 WAX CPU fund** was created using the project’s first week of pack sales
* **Boost NFTs were minted and distributed** to all players who had at least **1 NFT staked in-game by the end of the first week**.
* Each eligible player received:
  * 🧾 40 Boost NFTs
  * 💰 10,000 WAX worth of CPU delegation

Deliveries were completed fully on-chain.

## 🔒 Why Not Stake to the Project Wallet?

   We could have staked the CPU to the game account and earned passive income.\
But we chose to share it with players:

| Stake via Boost NFTs | **Players get CPU** + tradeable NFT |

This way:

* Players enjoy free CPU for gameplay
* The project still earns passive return
